Statuses for Rewards:

  1. Draft: When brands create a reward offer it becomes a draft by default. It is not visible to consumers and can be freely edited by the brand. This status allows the brand to finalize details and make adjustments before making the reward publicly available. If a Draft is deleted, the reward offer will no longer be stored in the system.

  2. Active: The reward is ready for use but not yet visible to consumers on the platform. Once the draft is finalized, the reward can be set to active status to make it ready for publication on the offer’s start date.

  3. Published: The reward is live on the Chips platform and visible to consumers. Users can redeem or earn this reward based on the conditions set by the brand. The reward remains in this status until it is either manually deactivated by the user or expired.

  4. Inactive: The reward is temporarily unavailable to consumers but not permanently removed from the platform. Brands can deactivate a reward if they need to pause it for any reason, such as a temporary halt in promotions or inventory issues. A published reward can be moved to inactive status if the brand needs to pause its availability. It can be reactivated and published again later.

  5. Expired: The expired reward will be unpublished and can no longer be reactivated or published. Expired offers are stored in the system.

  6. Deleted: An inactive reward can be deleted. Deleting a reward offer is a final action, and the reward cannot be restored once deleted. Deleted offers are stored in the system.

Brand

When you create a Brand, it is initially saved as a Draft by default. While in Draft status, the Brand can be freely edited or deleted as needed.

Once the Brand has active or published reward offers, it transitions to an Active status, at which point it cannot be edited or deleted. To make changes to the Brand, you must first deactivate the associated offers, which will revert the Brand back to Draft status, allowing you to edit or delete it as required.

Product

When you create a Product, it is initially saved as a Draft by default. While in Draft status, the Product can be freely edited or deleted as needed.

Once the Product is included in an Active or Published rewards offer, it becomes Active and can no longer be directly edited or deleted. To make changes, you must first deactivate the associated offer if it contains only that single product. Alternatively, if the offer includes multiple products, simply remove the specific product from the offer. If the product is not part of any other offers, it will revert to Draft status, allowing you to make any necessary edits.

The only edit that is possible to do on an Active Product is the addition of QR codes.

Store

When you create a Store, it is initially saved as a Draft by default. While in Draft status, the Store can be freely edited or deleted as needed.

Once the Store is included in an Active or Published rewards offer, it becomes Active and can no longer be directly edited or deleted. To make changes, you must first deactivate the associated offer if it is linked solely to that single store. Alternatively, if the offer includes multiple stores, you can remove the specific store from the offer. If the store is not part of any other offers, it will revert to Draft status, allowing you to make any necessary edits.
